Your bleeding, but not very bright hearts, tell you that we should just open our borders up to any and all poor or somehow deserving folks from around the world. If you think that is a great humanitarian idea, then you are also probably contemplating your personal suicide as an equally good idea. We are in the middle of a Great Depression. If big government and big business calculated unemployment honestly, using the same statistical analysis as was used during the last Great Depression of the 1930’s, our current unemployment rate would be close to 23%. An unemployment rate very similar to that of the last Great Depression. Wealth of the average person is declining. There is absolutely no reason to have anything but very restrictive immigration policies, unless you are a suicidal middle or lower middle class young person who hates personal liberty and always wants to be under the thumb of a bankrupt but all powerful government or living in your parent’s basement. You also might like open borders if you are a left wing politician looking for more votes to buy with taxpayer money. And of course if you are a rich foreigner with a half a million bucks or more to invest in a business through the government’s EB-5 program, in exchange for a direct path to permanent residency, you certainly like big government’s and big businesses’ open borders policy. And if you are a business looking to keep labor costs low, you want the borders wide open to cheap labor. Perhaps you hate America and want to see it become a third world nation; open borders will do it, and quickly. Every decision you make and every vote you take should be increasing your personal freedom and liberty, not enslaving you to a life of subsidized poverty and government control. LIBERTY IS YOURS; YOU JUST HAVE TO BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO CLAIM IT, AND BRIGHT ENOUGH NOT TO THROW IT AWAY.
